MCK Associates - Manor Hotel

Manor Hotel, Blackpool

Following a serious fire at the Manor Hotel in September 2007, mck was appointed to carry out the remedial repairs to the building.

The detailed survey showed that the existing building could not be repaired and the whole interior would need to be re-built. This involved a full re-design of the internal layout to provide compliance with current Building Regulations. This involved providing new access into the building, a new lift, protective staircase and designing the rooms in a suitable layout.

A new dining area, reception, kitchen and staff accommodation were formed to the lower level, a new bar, lounge and accessible accommodation are located on the first floor and bedroom son the upper floors.

The original hotel comprised of 20 bedrooms most with en-suite facilities, by adding a third floor extension, 20 new bedrooms were achieved, all with en-suite facilities together with a lift and improved staircase access.

Planning approval is currently being sought for a new modern facade and entrance to the Hotel.
