Introduction

mck was formed in 1991 by Andrew Kirkham and Peter Miller and originally conceived to service the residential developer in the northwest region and has grown over the past 17 years to encompass all spheres of architectural design from residential to commercial and leisure projects

mck specialise in new build residential developments for national house builders and local developers alike and are at the forefront of the current residential principles of urban design and master planning.

mck are also involved with various commercial and leisure projects, most notably gaining planning permission for a 12 million pound extension to the Tickled Trout Hotel in Preston for Macdonald Hotels. More recently mck have been seen to pursue more environmental and sustainable developments and are currently working with a leisure company that provide luxury accommodation in the National Parks that are seen to be eco friendly by way of using local materials and resources.

Current projects include listed building conversions in Nottinghamshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. mck have become specialists in Grade 2 and Grade 2* conversions over the last ten years. We are presently involved in the design of new build residential developments in Manchester city centre, Cheshire, Lancashire, North and Mid Wales and up to and including Carlisle in Cumbria. mck have the ability and experience to react immediately to changes in the residential market. Our team is confident about the future and we look forward to maintaining & strengthening our relationship with existing clients as well as new clients in the future.

Currently mck has a core staff of professionals ranging from Architectural Designers, a Chartered Building Surveyor, Architectural Technologists and administrative support staff.
