mck were tasked with designing a replacement dwelling after this family home was ravaged by fire. The design had to be sympathetic to the original house that dated back to the 17th Century, yet having all the benefits of the latest technology. Under floor heating, along with an elaborate communication system were just two of the new facilities provided.
mck were appointed to both design the building and oversee the construction process. After a 10 month build period, the house was handed back to the delighted owners in May 2007.
White rendered walls and green westmorland slates complete the modern rural appearance of the completed dwelling.
