In light of new legislation, sustainability is becoming increasingly more important in the construction of new buildings. This encompasses several criteria, not just the use of recycled materials but the use of locally sourced materials and indeed workforce as well as things such as using rainwater to flush your toilet, solar panels, wind turbines etc.

The Code for Sustainable Homes is now on it's second edition and by 2016 every new home built will have to have a zero carbon footprint.

mck are working closely with developers to ensure that all future schemes have minimal environmental impact.
